Google Chrome is a highly used and worldwide famous web browser of Google. In just one click people can find instant search results and solutions. But if our Google chrome stops responding or does not work then what can a person do. If your Google Chrome has stopped working then there are ways by which you can fix it. Restart PC

The first and the easiest way is to shut down your PC or laptop. This will close all the chrome processes and fix any temporary error. You can restart your computer after a while and check if the chrome has started working.

Clear Cache and cookies

Cache and cookies can stop the browser from working by overloading them. Also, malicious cache can create an issue. Therefore you can go to the settings of Google Chrome and delete the history and cache from there.

Update Chrome

A reason for the chrome to not work can be because it is outdated. The outdated version does not support the program and thus creates issues. Therefore make sure that your Google chrome is updated to the latest version. If not then you can update from the play store.

Reset Google chrome

You can also reset Google chrome and then start it again. This will solve any minor errors. To reset chrome:
  • Go to the Google Chrome menu page
  • Select the ‘Settings’ option.
  • Now go to the ‘Advanced setting’
  • Click on ‘Reset’ option.
  • This will rest your chrome to default.

Add-ons

The Chrome still does not work then you can turn off the add-ons. If many Add-ons or extensions are enabled on chrome then it can overload the browser and cause chrome to not respond. So to avoid this, you can disable the add-ons like this:
  • Open the setting option.
  • Select ‘More tools’.
  • Select the ‘Extension’ option.
  • Now turn the toggle off
  • This will disable the extensions.
